During the Academic Session of 2007-08 WBSCVE&T has decided to offer affiliation to Government/Government Sponsored and aided schools (affiliated to WBBSE/W.B.C.h.S.e.) and State aided Degree Colleges of the State for introduction of vocational courses at X+2 (equivalent to HS) and VIII+ level (Short term courses for 6 months) w.e.f. July, 2007 after a preliminary verification of status of the applicant. Educational institutions falling under the above category, representing any uncovered Gram Panchayat under it, will get a preference for consideration for affiliation, if apply for.

Disciplines at X+2 level prescribed by the council consists of Engineering & Technology, Agriculture, Home Science and Business & Commerce and in short term sector training in different vocations under above mentioned four disciplines and Paramedical Discipline are prescribed.

            Institutions of the above kinds willing to apply are required to submit application in prescribed format along1ith a Bank draft of Rs. 100 purchased in favour West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education & Training, collecting the format either from Council office or downloaded the same from above website, with in 21.2.2007 either personally or through mail.
